Brian Bowen

Brian Bowen was born and raised in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and has a deep passion for the water, traveling, different cultures, nature, sustainability, and family.  After Brian completed an 11 month foreign exchange program in Venezuela while in high school, he knew that he would travel throughout his lifetime to experience other cultures and share those experiences with the world through his photography and writing.  When Brian is not on the water filming or fishing, he is writing about nature and sustainability, travel experiences, or other cultures and food.  He loves water and surf photography and being able to capture special moments for people ripping through waves.  He has recently published his first book, Cultivating Abundance: A Guide to Designing Edible Ecosystems, which he explains how to design edible landscapes for long term sustainability for anyone around the world.  He also loves building relationships with people world-wide and sharing those memories with others.  Brian is married to his wife Angela and has two children, Willow (8) and Henry (6) and currently resides in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
